Although the monkey was a bit camera shy, Andrew´s self-portrait just has to go on the blog (he doesn´t know I´m putting it on). Andrew took a hike in an animal park the last morning we were in Villa Tunari...Jen chickened out as we were told that the monkeys would bother you, take anything out of your pockets, take off your glasses, and oh, yeah, they even know how to take out earrings...yeah, I passed on that one, but Andrew said it wasn´t terrible, but they did find a bead in his pants pocket and climbed all over him!North Star to Southern Cross

Hey Jen...thanks for sharing Andrew's self-portrait. It's kind of hard to tell who's who. Is Andrew looking away from the camera? Sounds like you both are having a rich and rewarding time. All is well in the Burg, albeit a little cold this April 19 morning. Could you send a little tropical weather our way. Take care and God bless.
Andrew looks a bit concerned about that monkey on his shoulder!
Cute picture!
Is this your long weekend to work with the kids?

Hummm! Is this the proverbial monkey on your back"? You need to watch which leaves you eat!
Would love to make the drive you did. I bet it was fascinating & beautiful.
We are heading for coast tomorrow - possibly in a snow storm!! Been an interesting Spring.
Suzy & Sara off to SA middle of May. Hope I can get into Hells Canyon.
Climbed any peaks yet? ART
This is a great photo! It makes me of the Aladdin movie. :) Good to see all is well - and that you took in a soccer game!

Not big peaks yet...I haven´t even been exercising much..not good. But I have three "leads" from people that said the will take me to the top of the local peak "Cerro Tunari", which is about 16,600 feet. Hopefully one of those will work out in the near future...hard to get there without a car. It is supposed to be a fairly easy hike...only about 3 hours up and 2 down, but I have never hiked anything above 14,000-15,000 ft so we will see how it goes. Just doing short day hikes we have gone above 12,000 ft though and have felt fine (the city is 8,200 ft).
PS - So who is the mysterious Xavier??? :)...good to hear from you.
Jordan says wow it looks like you are pretty scared. Maybe you have read the recent National Geographic article "animals that spread disease to humans" ! Just kidding. I am sure you will be fine. Enjoy!
This pic is awesome. Did he whisper in your ear too??? Very cool.

Yes, but which is the monkey?
