A few more pics of the market

These pictures are just for fun...it is impossible to capture the scope of the market...it seems to go on forever. Did you say you were hungry for a salad?

or maybe a baked potato?

Or maybe a cake? Or a small glass of fresh squeezed orange juice?

The choices are so difficult...and lucky for you, I didn't put in a meat department photo.

And to top it off, we ride home on one of these buses...here´s a very decked out one...each driver seems to add a bit of their own flair, both on the inside and outside--you should see how they light up at night!

Not all the buses are like this...and although these are school buses I don´t think they come from the states...not sure where they are form though. A lot of the cars come from Asia. They move the stearing wheel and pedals to the left side in order to drive them here...but the cheaper "transfers" leave the dash instruments on the right side. Rather amusing to be siting in the passenger seat and see how fast you are going. I don´t think the buses are quite a crowded here as in Nicaragua, partly due to the fact (my theory) that they don´t have a "helper" on the bus. It is just the driver, which means he can´t force people to move to the back of the bus. Longer bus rides are on much nicer buses than Nicaruagua...think Greyhound, but nicer...and a lot cheaper!!
