Andrew also went paragliding this month...Jen was a bit chicken and elected to stay home. She saves her money for lattes and La Concha visits. Andrew had a great time, and it did indeed look very safe. He flew over Cochabamba tandem with his guide. Here´s a quick video of his flight (or really, the landing):

That looks like a lot of fun. It is something I have wanted to do but it has always seemed too complicated to actually do it. :) I'm glad you guys are getting to see the area. I look forward to seeing you in a couple of months.

It was indeed fun, but not sure I would pay the money to make it a hobby. The landing was actually very soft. I can show you a picture in the future, but I was sitting in a heavily padded seat when I landed...actually makes for a very comfortable flight and landing. - Andrew
Couldn't get the video to come up on my computer - too cheap to pay for the speed I think is the problem )~:{ I didn't know they had seats. I thought you hung parallel in straps. Can't say I would find it fun though - too scary. ART
