Extreme Boarding

On our way from the ocean to the mountains we spent a few days in Ica - a city in the Peruvian desert--amazing landscapes with 300-400 foot sand dunes in places. One of the days we took a ride in a buggy buggy, as they called it-like a dune buggy, and did some extreme sandboarding....basically laying down on a waxed snowboard and going down the face of a 300 foot sand dune - rather a kick...this is a picture of Jen screaming down the hill. The buggy buggy rides was almost like being on a roller coaster. Good fun, but a rather strange place.
